Hopping behind the mic: My first podcast appearance

For nearly a decade, I spent about two and a half hours a day commuting. To make the most of that time, I listened to a loooooooot of podcasts.

While the topics ranged from investing and personal finance to self-help, sports, and movies (sorry, true crime pods are just not my jam), listening to those conversations had a much bigger impact on me than I realized at the time. Many of the podcasts I listened to introduced me to new ideas and perspectives and ultimately gave me the confidence to take action, both personally and professionally. I can trace many of the skills I’ve developed and decisions I’ve made back to what I learned, and was inspired by, during those long commutes.

Along the way, I often thought how cool it would be to be on the other side of those conversations someday, participating and contributing in a way that could help others learn, grow, and take action too.

Recently, I had the opportunity to do just that when I joined Sean Trace on his podcast, Growing Money with Sean Trace. We talked about getting clear on what matters most, being intentional with money, and taking action to make real progress. It was a fun and meaningful experience, and something I’d definitely love to do more of in the future.
