Steve Heinemann, CFP®, CPA
Founder & Financial Planner
Why I Founded Recalibrating Wealth
As a husband and father of two, I understand firsthand the challenge of trying to balance careers, kids, and financial priorities that never seem to wait their turn. That's exactly who I built Recalibrating Wealth for: busy, mid-career families trying to get ahead financially without losing themselves in the process.
My mission is simple. Help mid-career families live more, worry less, and plan for the future with confidence.
Your life is bigger than your money, and your money is bigger than your investments.
That's the lens I bring to every client relationship. Before we talk about your portfolio, I want to understand your values, your goals, and what's actually driving the choices you're making with your money, along with the complete picture of where you stand financially. That's what lets me give guidance that's truly yours. Advice built around your version of a rich life, one we recalibrate together as life and priorities shift.
Recalibrating Wealth is a fee-only firm. That means the advice I give is never shaped by product pitches, commission incentives, or sales pressure from somewhere else. I'm proud to work as a fiduciary and to give advice that puts you first.

My Approach & Planning Philosophy
My financial planning process starts with you: your goals, your values, and the life you want to build, both the one you're excited to live today and the one you're working toward.
My role is to guide that process. I help create the vision, build in accountability, and align the technical side of your money to it. That means staying curious, asking good questions, and listening closely to the answers.
I see financial advice as a way to open doors. The reward isn't in the numbers or the spreadsheets, it's watching clients gain confidence and build the life they want.
I'm here to help you discover your options, own your financial future, and pursue what's important to you, now and for years to come.
A few of the core beliefs that guide my planning philosophy:
Simplicity over complexity
Progress over perfection
Focus on what you can control
Automate wherever possible
Define what “enough” looks like for you
Get the right things right, then go live your life!
